Wealthfront is...good?

Investing and money management products typically land on two sides of a dividing line.

Investing and money management products typically land on two sides of a dividing line. On one side, which I call Trust Me Bro, you've got massively hands off products like Acorns, Oportun (nee Digit) and on the other, Day Trader Lite, you've got highly customizable but intimidating products like Yeildstreet Webull or Capterra.

I am yards away from a market wizard of any sort so I just don't need all of that hands on stuff. But, trend wise, there are some categories I do know a thing or two about, so I like to have some flexibility on mix.

I've been trying Wealthfront out for a few months now after a couple months of research and it's been very good so far. One of their most clever inventions/growth hacks is the referral system that lets you bank an extra .5% on top of their already very impressive 5% APY cash account. Every referral you bring to the platform allows you to store 6 months of an additional half percent up to a year's worth. That's really brilliant. I think this type of referral program could do well in a variety of SaaS products.

Their investment products are fairly straightforward and bland, and there's room for expansion of their automated portfolios over the list of collections

If you want to keep boosting my APY by the way, here's my referral link for Wealthfront.

As Rick says.
