The Last Detail: Acronym J1A

My good friends Dan and Tom at Studio Neat were kind enough to invite me on their podcast Thoroughly Considered for their The Last Detail feature. The premise of the bit is great; a deep dive into a singular object discussing the design, manufacturing and use of that item.

Previous guests have included Jason Snell on the Breville Tea Maker, Stephen Hackett on the iMac G4 and Betty Chen on the Herman Miller Aeron chair.

I chose the Acronym J1-A, my favorite jacket of all time. We go into the wield aesthetic and the why of one of the most iconic bits of clothing out there. The episode is here:

Thoroughly Considered #112: The Last Detail with Matthew Panzarino - Relay FM
Today’s guest is Matthew Panzarino, the former editor of TechCrunch, and current proprietor of TheObessor.com. His object is the Acronym J1-A.
