Epicly Later'd returns with Nuge

Patrick O'Dell's Epicly Later'd skate series has been running on Vice in some form since the mid 2000's after being started as what was likely the world's first skate blog in 2004. After a long hiatus, a new season has kicked off this month and the first episode highlights Don 'Nuge' Nguyen.

The Thrasher and Baker crew wasn't at the top of my list of follows during that era, but I was aware of them as everyone was, obviously. I love the way this is cut together to show how legendary, culturally impactful moments often happen casually in the blink of an eye. Just the combination of timing, someone with will to do it and – as always – someone there to capture it.

This is a great snapshot of Nuge for those who may not be as aware of him and a really lovely letter of appreciation from his friends and acquaintances. Seemingly everyone who crossed his path has found something about Nuge that was special and gave off good vibes.

Nuge's new venture is a burger joint in LA called Burger She Wrote and beer company Open Beer. A must watch segment on the man who saved Thrasher, ollie'd El Toro and bombed Baxter Hill.
